Beginning Monday, August 31st, Birch Avenue will be closed 1 mile south of Highway 22 for a bridge replacement project.  The project consists of replacing the bridge over Smith Creek with a 70 foot prestressed concrete box beam bridge.  Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C. of Washington, Iowa was awarded the project with a bid of $619,973.70.  The project is expected to take approximately 3 months.
